Lazer, the innovative cycling helmet brand, announces the launch of a special edition of the Z1 KinetiCore, linked to a charitable cause.
What does Use Your Head mean to Lazer? It has been the brand’s motto throughout its history. Through this slogan, applied across various campaigns, Lazer has consistently encouraged people to wear a helmet. From 2025 onwards, Lazer is taking this message one step further: Use Your Head will no longer mean only making smart decisions for yourself, but also thinking about what we can do to help others.
That is why, for every Z1 KinetiCore Use Your Head purchased anywhere in the world, Lazer will donate €10 to Plan International’s Bike for Future project.
The new special edition is based on the standard matte black version, enhanced with a subtle black-on-black pattern — almost invisible — that only lights up when hit by car or bicycle headlights, revealing a full brain pattern on the rear of the helmet.

For every Z1 KinetiCore Use Your Head purchased worldwide, Lazer will donate €10 (or the equivalent in USD or GBP, depending on the country) to Plan International’s Bike for Future project.
Plan International is a global humanitarian organisation focused on advancing children’s rights and achieving equality for girls. It works with children, young people and communities to tackle the root causes of poverty, discrimination and vulnerability — especially those affecting girls.
The Bike for Future project places strong emphasis on empowering young girls through a sports for change approach. The project is based in Rwanda, where the 2025 UCI Cycling World Championships took place.
The aim is to reach a total of 3,600 girls, through four core objectives:
- Empower young women through the unifying power of sport
- Promote economic independence through skills training
- Challenge gender stereotypes with the support of local communities
- Secure private sector commitment to engage young people across industries
Sport can open many doors. Through this project, the goal is to demonstrate meaningful and lasting structural change.

The riders of the Team Picnic PostNL Women’s Team, who use the bicycle daily as part of their profession, came together to talk about this helmet and the cause it supports. Each rider shared her personal story of how she started cycling and what the sport has given her.
The conclusion is clear: cycling unites. Cycling creates joy. Freedom. Cycling creates opportunities. Through this initiative, Lazer hopes to help make these opportunities accessible to everyone.
