The man behind these developments was Drs. Wim Jennen, a graduate pharmacist. Jennen was able to combine his knowledge and skills with practice, as we was a member of the famous Dutch Amstel cycling team. The development of the products began in a pharmacy, located in a town called Born, in Netherlands.
Over 30 products for sports nutrition and body care are developed since 1985 under a single brand name. The BORN products are developed in collaboration with top athletes. Performance of the product and the athlete are equally important. BORN ensures that their product has the best quality and, as a result of this concern, a pleasurable sportive experience.
When developing products, much importance is attached to convenience besides effectiveness. Bars should be easily-digested, gels should be easy to drink and sports drinks should be well tolerated by the stomach and do not need to be too sweet.
